一. 本课时简析及教材处理:

Module 6 中的Reading 部分是一篇有关于保护藏羚羊的叙述文。本文介绍濒临灭绝的动物藏羚羊的情况,同时引入相关的词汇,是一篇教育意义深刻的环保题材的文章。根据课程目标对于阅读能力的阐述,要求学生能够理解文章主旨和作者意图并从文章中获取和处理主要信息。我尝试把传统的阅读课与小组合作探究相结合,本着阅读训练为主,听、说能力为辅,最终以说为途径,解决一个实际问题,将本节课的中心任务定为Summarize the main idea of each paragraph and retell the text.

二. 教学目标 理论依据:《高中英语课程标准》

(一)语言知识目标:

1.阅读中能识别新学词汇、短语并根据语境推出意义。

2.正确理解介绍藏羚羊并能运用本模块所学词汇和短语介绍几种濒危动物的大致情况。

3.词汇及短语:ban meanwhile raid skin herd ideal confiscate tough profit cooperation endanger 

at a time   on the spot

 4.句型:have an advantage over…

         give one’s life to…

         seem to be doing…

         be /get tough with…

(二) 阅读技能与信息能力目标:

提高学生阅读能力;能够通过快速阅读准确获取信息。

(三)多元能力发展目标:

培养、发展学生的语言能力,逻辑思维能力,小组间合作能力,以及表现能力。

(四)学习策略目标:

在阅读英语合作式学习中,通过各种途径获取相关信息,完成任务;学习“拯救野生动物”、“保护生态环境”等话题的口头交流。

(五) 文化意识和情感态度目标:

了解濒临灭绝的动物的状况;增强对濒临灭绝的动物的保护意识和宣传工作。

三. 教学重点与难点:

重点:了解濒临灭绝的动物;通过快速阅读准确获取信息的能力。

难点:运用所学词汇和句型,围绕主题进行语言表达。

四. 教学方法:

根据高中英语新课程标准,及英语教学的理论和实践,以及当前教学改革,课程改革的先进理念,本课采用任务型教学途径,以学生为中心。最大限度调动语言和非语言资源开展自主性学习的活动,使合作、探究与独立思考相结合,最大程度地优化学生的学习方式,提高课堂学习的效率。本课设计采取自主学习立体模式,即(Pre-reading --- Reading --- Post-reading)

五. 教学设计:

StepI Lead-in

1. Ask students to show some pictures of endangered animals which they find on the Internet. Every student makes a small description about the animal. Then, the teacher shows some pictures of antelope.

2. Make a discussion. As we all know, more than 12,000 animal species are now in danger. Can you give some reasons why they are endangered?

StepII pre-reading

Do activity 1 in groups and answer the questions.

1. What is this species of animal in the picture?

2. Where is this happening?

3. What are these people doing in the picture?

4. Guess what the passage is about.

StepIII Reading 

1. Read the text quickly and finish Activities 2&4 

Work in pairs and summarize the main idea of each paragraph. Then, the teacher gives suggestions.

Paragraph1: Jiesang gave his life to the Tibetan antelope.

Paragraph2: A large number of antelopes have been killed for their wool.

Paragraph3: The business of antelope wool is illegal but it is not easy to be stopped.

Paragraph4: The Chinese government began to take an active part in protecting the antelope.

Paragraph5: progress has been made in protecting the antelope.

2. Do activity3. Say what the numbers and dates refer to by combining the information in the text.

3. Group work. Retell the text according to the main idea of each paragraph.

StepIV Words and Phrases

Let the students make a short play about how Jiesang and other volunteers who help to protect antelopes win the fight with poachers finally.
